What an amazing day! Today at Outreach’s Annual Graduation Celebration 27 students were celebrated and cheered on into their next season of life.
Today is just one day in the storied life of each of the graduates. Although today was a good day… A day where they were celebrated for not only graduating but for overcoming great adversity. For most of these graduates, the very people who they walked the halls with would have had no idea about the adversity they faced. Today, the 100 plus people in attendance stood and the cheered 27 students who are heros who fought and won.
This day is a day that would not be possible without the greater community of Outreach. When you sit back and consider all that is invested to make this day possible, the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” could not be any truer. Firstly, a huge thank you and well done to the loving and sacrifical case managers of Outreach. Their title is “Case Manager” but today you heard the graduates call them “friend” and “Trusted one”.
Next, a HUGE thank you to the volunteers who gave so graciously of their time and energy. They put together an incredible environment to celebrate. Thank you again to the volunteers from Johnson Controls. For some of them it was their 12th year in a row serving! Julie Wendel, a long time volunteer and board member put together, as per usual, a spectacular party!
Finally and of coarse not least, all the Outreach partners who contributed in many different ways. I will simply list their name as a book could be written of all they generously contributed;
