Using Relationships to Transform Lives

Serving nearly 400 homeless youth each year takes help! Working to build relationships with these youth takes help from amazing volunteers, partners and donors!

Jeanna Poindexter is a stay at home mom that volunteers as a Basic Needs Drop Team Member.   Along with several other volunteers, Jeanna helps make our breakfast run smooth and  allows our youth to have fun–all the while they still get their basic needs met!

We asked Jeanna about her volunteer experience and how she’s seen God transform.  “I am honored to be a part of such a great organization. When you are there you can feel genuineness of the staff, volunteers and youth.  The love of God fills that place and touches everyone that walks through the door.  The youth have touched my heart in so many ways.  Being able to connect with them and hear their stories and share my own life with them has been so transforming.”

“God is so realtional and he uses those relationships in our lives to transform and change us.  And I am thankful for the relationships I have formed through Outreach.  I have seen life change happen right in front of my eyes with the youth– and it is amazing!”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!! Jeanna captures the heart of Outreach! And we are so thankful for her continued  advocacy and love for Indy’s homeless teens!
