Nearly $390,000 Raised: A Successful Winter Giving Campaign to Support Outreach Youth

Outreach is thrilled to announce the success of our winter giving campaign, raising approximately $390,000 to support youth and young adults experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis. This remarkable achievement reflects the unwavering commitment of our community to walk alongside our resilient young people on their journey to a life of stability and transformation.

One of the campaign’s highlights was a $25,000 matching donation from an anonymous donor. This generous act inspired others to give, doubling their impact and propelling us toward our goal.

Outreach received donations from a multitude of channels, including our website, direct mail campaign, and Indy Gives, a program hosted by Indianapolis Monthly. The community’s response was overwhelming and showcased the power of collective action in creating real change.

The success of this campaign was further driven by our "My Own Home for the Holidays" marketing initiative. By leveraging a mix of social media outreach and traditional media channels, we shared powerful stories of resilience, like Daniella's journey to securing her own apartment and creating a safe space she could call home, where she crochets and cooks delicious food for her friends and family. Or Heaven, who grew up on the streets and was slow to trust, now taking in the Indianapolis skyline from her downtown apartment, adorned with memories and photos from her journey.

Daniella and Heaven are two success stories, but there are still nearly 8,100 homeless youth in our city. This campaign demonstrates the strength of a community united in the belief that every single one of those young people deserve a stable and supportive environment. The resources raised will directly impact the lives of the youth we serve, providing housing support, meaningful mentoring relationships, education, employment resources, and critical care services.

We are profoundly grateful for every individual, family, business, and foundation that contributed to this campaign. Your support reminds the youth of Outreach that they are not alone and that they are seen, and known, and loved.

From all of us at Outreach, thank you for being part of this life-changing work. Together, we are building a community where every young person can thrive and pursue a safer and better future of their choosing.
