Kadince’s Story

Kadince first came to Outreach in April of last year, and at this time, she was staying at Wheeler Mission. When she first connected with Outreach, she felt stuck in her journey, unsure of what her next steps looked like.

"I was put in coaching a couple months after I got connected with Outreach. When I first got into the coaching program with Izzy, my life was far from put together as much as it is now - I felt stuck. After my first few sessions with Izzy, my life slowly but surely started to get pieced together!

In those first few months, I found out I was pregnant! Izzy was one of the first people I told, and she helped me get through barriers with the justice system, advocated for me, and made me feel like being a mom is not so scary!
Being in coaching has also made me feel very helpful when I'm in the Program Center. I can help other people get into coaching and help support others with the resources that I have gained from coaching to help other people!

There were a lot of things that I did not know how to do when I first came to Outreach. With coaching I know once I leave Outreach, I will be set knowing how to navigate my life and the best way I possibly can for my son and me. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for Outreach coaching, Izzy🦋, and all the other coaching staff!" - Kadince
